Wow, it's Fall... sorry for not posting in so long!

Wait! Wait! Wait! I dumped out the Cheerios on purpose!

See... I want to eat like Charlie!

I've heard "it's gotta be green" but come on... I look good in yellow.

It was a crummy day, so we decided to play under the awnings at McCormick Place.

What a smile!

I don't know why she looks so perplexed.

Don't you just want to say "yucky Carney. yucky."

Hmmm... Uncle David, maybe I"ll just move in here.

Carney... you stay sitting... Gigi will give you an "ah-ah-ah" and a finger wag if you don't!

A rare family photo.

Dad, I want to get in there with them.

How do you reckon I could climb this thing?

We (Betsy, Todd, Marcus, & myself) took Will and Harper to the pumpkin patch in Lemont.

Harper loves to climb the stairs and try to get in the door at the Historic Clark House across the street from us.

It was just one of those extremely picturesque days.

Getting up is a lot of work with all of these clothes on Mom.

I'm her mother, but wow... isn't she amazing!

She loves the park!

Thanks for the Uggs King family!

Come on Mom... enough pictures... play with me!

I think that she was trying to give her mother a hint about the lack of cleanliness in our household ?

All of Harper's bathtub toys have a specific spot on on the sides of the tub and she returns them there every evening.

She carries all three of her ducks in the tub... she kisses each one and then makes me and Marcus kiss them...

I don't know why, but she loves bathtub water.

Her least favorite part of bathing is getting her hair rinsed.

Look how much cousin Will has grown up! He's walking now!

Harper loves a baby.

Our little "tree hugger"

We were at the Prairie Avenue Street Fest and Harper got up with the musicians and really busted a move "mommy style." She loves to dance.

They had a petting zoo... she showed no fear.

Daddy is getting a hug!

Harper is crawling up all of the big kid slides now and doesn't need/want any help going down.

Everyday my breath is taken away by her innocence and beauty.

She is talking to a dog across the way.

We went to Speculator in August. Harper wasn't crazy about the water, but Daddy is very good about having her try things she isn't sure of.

First attempt at Lake Pleasant.

The King's swing was a big hit!

On our way into Melody Lodge for lunch!

One of my favorite views in the world... Marilyn and Peter get to see it every day!

She loved running in M&P's yard all day. The altitude didn't seem to be an issue for her... no extra naps :)

Harper is extremely independent, especially when eating. I have taken to tying a towel around her neck because a bib just wasn't covering it.

Hey Mom... can I try sending Will UPS?

She loves the water fountain!

She is a girl. She seems to have two phones in her hands at all times.

There is a park by Marcus' office that has water fountains. Harper LOVES them.

Summer 2010

Harper burrito... who wouldn't order that?

Harper decided that she needed to push Will... the only problem is that she couldn't reach.

Will loves tot swings.

Harper and Daddy in the pool.

So she now likes to sit in her stroller and watch Curious George.

Train park.

This is one of my favorite summer outfits.

A little more park time.

I was eating a pickle the other day and Harper thought she should have one too... she sucked on it for about 20 minutes.

Carney! This is by far the most relaxed baby ever!

I went to the bathroom, leaving Will in the bouncer... this is how I found them when I got back.

Ali, Eliza, and Harper on the trampoline at Grandma Fliss and Papa's house.

I LOVE the trampoline! Aunt Ali and Cousin Eliza gave me a great ride!

I'm willing to try anything to get these two to give me a minute or two of piece. Pots, Pans, and measuring cups seem to do the trick.

Harper, Will and me at the aquarium entrance.

Harper, Will, and Jackson went to the aquarium.

So, Harper has learned how to open the drawer under the stove and has decided that she needs to get EVERY pan out EVERY day.

We had a lovely day for the party... it was a little hot, but we were at least able to eat outside.

It was her big day and she was more concerned with running to the horses than everyone who came to visit with her.

Cousin Hunter was a good helper with blowing out the candles and opening the presents.

She wasn't really sure about the cake at first. I gave her a second piece later that night and she responded much better.

Three generations.

It was great to see that all of the great-grandparents turned out.

Sadly, she could have cared less about the presents.

The cake was a LOT of work, but turned out really well... between the cake and cookies I thought my hands would be permanently black :)
